Retribution

In Retribution, Nick Hunter and his TIFAT team are drawn into the human catastrophe sweeping Africa and the Middle East. Criminal gangs of people smugglers are orchestrating the migration of many thousands of Africans and Asians into Europe, threatening the stability of that continent.

Autumn Days

Monday, October 6, 2025

October and the leaves are turning. Living in West Stirlingshire, we have some of the loveliest scenery at this time of year. And also a variety of amazing cafes and restaurants. With Dorothy retired and me working part-time as a Stirling Councillor, we are very much enjoying treating ourselves and are becoming au fait with the selection of brunches, lunches and afternoon teas on offer locally.

Even more fun when accompanied by our grandchildren. Mind you at 6 and 4 their favourite is still MacDonalds !!

I recently gave a short talk at the inaugural Balfron Book Festival. The organisers had done a brilliant job with a wide range of events for all ages. Next year I expect it will be even better.

2 weeks ago Cheryl Peebles, a journalist from The Courier, came along to discuss the prostrate cancer treatment I had. We chatted about a number of things and she has written a very nice article. (click for link to online version)

Finally I just want to draw your attention to a special offer Dorothy has put on the website : The first 3 Tears books for £16 inclusive of P&P..

Thanks for the nice messages re my health.  It is a slow business recovering from a stroke but I am improving each month with the help of Emma, my amazing physiotherapist.

Best wishes and enjoy the autumn sunshine.
