Youtube channel on the cards!

Hi Folks,

I thought it was about time I brought you up to date with what is going on in my life. That is, apart from my fictional activities of diving, parasailing, shooting terrorists and generally saving the world from the bad guys!

What a happy world I live in with such a vivid imagination! Although, like some readers have said, it’s a shame some of it isn’t true.

Yesterday evening I went to a workshop about using video to promote a business or in my case to expand my readership.

It was very interesting. As a result we will be establishing a YouTube channel where I intend launching videos on subjects as diverse as “How to do a book-signing” and “Writing descriptive text to paint a scene” and “How to use Kindle and ACX”.

Luckily Dorothy was with me as I only understood one in two words. That’s not to say I didn’t understand the words used I just didn’t understand what they meant!  It was a case of Morecombe playing the piano and Andre Previn telling him he wasn’t playing the right notes.  His famous reply, of course, was that he was playing the right notes but not necessarily in the right order. A brilliant quip from a brilliant comedian.

Phoenix Rising will shortly be available as an audio book, produced by narrator William Sturdevant. This is the third audio of mine that William has narrated – we have had great feedback re the audios of Gumshoe and the Seventh Circle.  I really enjoyed listening to Phoenix Rising (if that is not too boastful).  It is years since I wrote it and it made me think about doing another book about Stephen Yorke and his teenage stepson Dom. Watch this space.

Right now I am working on a new TIFAT thriller.  With our daughter due to give birth any day now I need the distraction!
